buying reels o/s

Hey

I have a family member going to china in a weeks time and was wondering if its worthwhile for me to get them to bring home a stradic 2500.
Are they much cheaper over there? Do you think there would be many outlets, i did a quick search online and seen that shimano has factories in china.
Cheers

To be honest guys, as much as it all well and good going overseas to buy some gear, the simple fact is that you're taking a risk with warranty and you're not supporting your local business.

So support means less dollars for comp and individual sponsorship and the end of a lot of comps in the long run.

I know it's tempting, but next time you go to order something you can get here, have a long hard think about it.

Thanks,
