Daiwa Millionaire CVZ 253A

I was in my local tackle shop the other day and in the window i saw this reel, the Daiwa Millionaire CVZ 253A(Japan model) for $800!
Thats a hefty price for a baitcaster reel, i was wondering if anyone has bought or tried fishing with this reel?

Very curious if this reel is worth $800.

$800 dollars seems a bit excessive epeacially when some of the mid price reels do an exceptional job as it is..I will never know as the reel is worth more than the car i drive to work every day but only worth about half what some guys have in their tackle boxes.

The CVZ in Australia should retail for just under $500.00.

I know the Japanese versions are better in someways but unless its a collector edition (IE special colour) $800.00 seems like a rip off.

Oh and they are a lovely reel.

Doesn't cast quite as well as a low-profile baitcaster but the build quality and drag are excellent. When my Calcutta packs it in or I can start doing alot more barra fishing it would be my first choice baitcaster.

I finally got my CVZ253A(Japan) last week for $699 at Compleat Angler. The guy in the tackle store said this is a limit edition and is far better than the normal version.
