Replacing Knob on Vanquish reel

I am looking to replace the T-Type knob on my 3000HG Vanquish with a power knob as in the second Pic attached,

Shimano Japanese website only seems to have Spools and Handles, nothing about Knob compatibility.

can someone with specific knowledge Please confirm the partnumber/model for me.

Only type a will work. Type b is for the saltwater line of reels.

yep, type A exchange.

I'll tell you one thing that really sucks with Al knobs; I have 4 reels with the gold Yumeya handles. When ever the clouds pick up, stormy condition or rain I've got to head for cover. You try and cast and it sends a shock down the rod and through the handle knob, making a tapping noise through you fingers.

2 months ago I got shocked pretty bad on a cast an didn't think too much of it. Went home, sat down contemplating weather to post up on this site if anyone had the same problem. Stood up and nose trickled blood like a tap to the point of a steady stream. Ambo's took me to hospital. Was there for 4 hours and meant to get all these test and what not but I legged it. I've never had a blood nose before except a tiny trickle the 3 times its been broken.

Just something to think about anyway.

Sounds like you were holding onto a lightening rod for sake of the word. CTG bolt would have eventually found that rod and boom / proof gone... Any sort of lightening around - carbon rods down boys...

Haven't experienced anything like that but I don't usually fish afternoons with storms

I'm just glad I found out before shelling out $80 a pop from plat for these handles, I was going to buy 3 for some reels but the vanquish limited reels already come with them.

The 3 times that had happened was big storms had come over, only once a bit of light rain came with it. Once on the flats at Inskip. Lightning started erupting and 2 of our 3 rods started humming.

Needless to say I did work out you can still throw a cast but you cant hold the handle or blank. This is with the Nordic Stage Dynamic and Areal rods.
