Anyone use lure wallets??

I see Daiwa offer up what seems to look like a nice smaller lure wallet and I have also seem Shimano have one.

I can only seem to find stock marketing photos of these and they don't really show much. I can't even find a photo of the shimano one whilst open.

I like the idea of the wallets to minimize the rattling etc whilst out with a heap of lures in my backpack. Wondering if anyone is using these, or others and how you rate them.

How do they attach? Is it a rubber that they hook into?

It's a rubbery foam type of material and you just push the hook in. They can work there way out now and again if you leace them in for a long time. The treble covers are off ebay but you can get them from some online tackle shops

I've got that daiwa lure wallet and keep all my trout HB's in it.
I've also got a daiwa presso mini wallet which is designed for spoons, I keep 6 of my go to HB's in it and it fits in the top pocket of my fishing shirt

treble? single? one or two?

I have an assortment of lures which now have rusty trebles. There was a trend a few years back where it was deemed desirable to remove the middle treble and ring , and just run a treble at the back. I now see a trend towards single hooks instead of trebles? Who is using this method, and your thoughts please.
Thanks Howard.

I just did a quick ebay search and refined it to located in Australia only. Not sure how the sizing works but here is a pack of 100 for $10.

http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/100-x-TREBL...701?nav=SEARCH

Sizes from same seller are listed as A B C etc...

Plenty more sellers from Hong Kong and China etc if you're willing to wait.

Thanks Howard.
Not for bream but trout in streams; I recently swapped a few of my small HBs over to singles because I was fishing streams where weed annoyed me and I had a session where 3/4s of trout hooked threw the lure.
Only been out with them once or twice so cant comment too much but hook up rates seemed good, and none lost once hooked.

You saw the pics with them against a ruler yeah? Should allow you to compare size to the hooks you want to cover
