Z-Man 2.5" Grubs Colours

Hey guys,

I know that a lot of us are using those grubs to great success.

The most used colours I hear are Motor Oil, Bloodworm and Pumkinseed.

My question is: are there any other colours that are as successful as those 3 in the 2.5in range?

What's everyone's opinion on Chartreuse, Watermelon, Amber, etc?

Are there any colours that can outperform a Motor Oil?

Are there stand out performers for particular areas or waterways (like East Gippy, Glenelg, Coota)?

Cheers,

Have a look on their facebook page. They list which colours are UV. Personally UV lures have done well for me so in theory they'll do good too.

Thanks gents, keep them coming.

Hey Nicko, any chance of you posting a photo of that pimped HB?

I've got a pack of Watermelon Red at home, might try it next time I am on the water.

Cheers

Hardy Head goes pretty good at times Alex. Motor Oil is proven across the board however i have seen times when the bream don't want a UV lure and pseed and bloodworm come into there own.

I used pumkinseed pretty much the entire VBC nelson round last weekend. When i first got into the grubs watermelon red was my fave now i don't know which colour is

Bubble gum violet sparkle i have a really purple and sutle purple color somthing diffrent but the steak and three veg colors mentioned i think are the go to im liking the HOP plastics its somthing diffrent and aussie made.
Im abit off Zmans for the repackaging you get 2 less palccys for the same price.

HOP lures are looking really good. I bought few packs from Stu but couldn't give them proper run at Gippy and Coota ABT comps as I was using proven bream catchers and didn't have time to experiment.

I need a good social session to try those hop's out to see if they are on par or better than zmans.

Thanks for the replies so far guys. All good info.
Cheers
