Sorry, just saw the post.
Yep, I own one, and I love it. I would highly recomend them. I Have however recently heard reports that some of the newer ones are a bit on the loose side, so check any prostective purchase for play in the handle mechanism. Other than that I have had a dream run with mine, smooth, tough, good lookin. I was really impressed the day I hooked on to a fair size ray and managed to subdue it, It gave the drag a floggin for ages with no loss of performance. I also own an inspira, a sustain and a capricorn, so I can provide a bit of a comparo. They are all great reels. Any one of them make for very enjoyable fishing. The Inspira lacks a metal body and worm drive, but for sub 200 dollars is hard to beat (btw it still lays line down VERY well). The capricorn would be next up in features, quality and price. No problems here, but I think the Inspira lays line down better. Not many Bearings, but smooth none the less. The Sustain and Taurus both have similar levels of quality, features and finish. Price range is similar. These are both sensational reels and I can't really fault them (now that both have got rid of the timber handles). The Taurus Lacks the maintenance port of the Sustain. I also "feel" that the Taurus has a more rugged build and finish, it looks like it will take more knocks than the sustain. I can't quantify this, its just an impression. Both come with spare Ti lipped spools, Both of the sustains spools are the same size, while the Tica comes with a 1000 and 2000 size spool (I like this). Like I said earlier, they're all great reels, But In the higher price bracket, I think the Tica pips the sustain at the post because you save between $50 & $100. You do Pay for the Shimano name after all. Hope this helps, Feel free to PM me if you have any more questions
