anyone use this tool for the fg?, looks like a good and easy way to keep tension on the line than trying to do it the traditional way with the rod.

Yep, I got one.
Super easy and quick to tie an FG anywhere, even in a yak and never had one slip. IMO well worth the money.

Agreed Alex.
Might as well just slim beauty if you're going to half hitch the leader in an FG. I have this tool (because 2 left hands and all thumbs) and can now tie a good FG on the 'yak. (Without 1/2 hitch in the leader) |
