Berkley puppy dog

Gday

Any feedback on the Berkley Puppy Dog? Has a nice 2m dive depth but no rattle...how do people find hard bodies with no rattle? Imports got some nice colours for cheap, thinking of stocking up....

Im a big fan of no rattle. A fish' lateral line will pick up any vibes from the swim action a mile away. never used a puppy dog though

They are good lures. I should have used them more

Instead I am throwing Live-X Smolts all the time

I have used them a bit, cast like crap but swim pretty good. i found they need to be tuned straight outa the box, not my first choice of lure to tie on tho

Got these delivered today from Import, gees they look the goods. Colours look nice (always better in person than pictures ) and the profile is far more realistic than any others I've used (I'm not hard bodies guru or expert, but I am trying ). A really good looking baitfish profile that will hopefully match the hatch well.

Shame about the time of year and the crap weather, but see if I can get these to produce...

What colours did you get?

I took advantage of the same offer.

Was a bit of a mix up though on colours which was sorted out nicely by Import Tackle but did mean I didn't get the 4 in "pointer" I ordered. Happy with how they handled it though.

Coincidently I was just looking at them in my local shop. I've not seen them before or used them. My first impression was that they look like they'd work great but cast not so great. I then struggled to think of a reason to get them over my normal standards (Eco SX 40, Hurricane Twitch 40/50, Double Clutch 60, Strike Pro Pygmy) all of which cast pretty good(except maybe the last one).

They cast really wel and they are silent which helps in certain conditions (clear water) etc.

The silent bit was what appealed to me the most. I think rattles can have the opposite effect to what is desired at times

Profile is pretty pygmy like so I expect similar casting performance.

Picked up a couple of EP on it last night. I like them ... Didn't cast too badly and the perch had no problem finding it at night despite it being silent.
