Cleaning HB's

Hey guys. Found this today. Was completely weeded when I found it and I thought it was a long sinker on the bottom! After half an hour or more of cleaning it's about as good as I can get it. Any suggestions on how to clean it further? Especially the bib. Thought nail polish remover, but don't want to use solvent without knowing the effect. Will it melt it, or cause it to smell bad to bream?
Would love to hear cleaning suggestions.
Cheers.

I reckon it looks pretty tasty as it is!

But yeah, get it pimped if you want it to look nice.

I've found a couple of tube worm covered lures here up in the Coomera river.

Two being Rapala's and one a bibbed yabby lure which i cant recall the manufacturer.

Anyhow I made a mild vinegar and water solution and soaked the lures in that for a couple of hours. These without hooks just left the rusty rings to get cleaned a little.

Vinegar denatured the calcium in the tube worm structures and I was able to remove the growth on the lures easily. After that I just used a stiff nail brush with detergent to clean further any other gunk and residue.

And they're all well used today.

Bicarbonate of soda and vinegar, once the sizzle stops, let it soak for about an hour.
