Wanna go have a cast or 2 of my first squidgies in about 1 hour.squidgie rig help..

Hi,

I gonna go have a cast see if I get lucky around Iron Cove bridge in about an hour.

When tying the squidgies on, do I just tie them to the main line...or do I need swivels?

Thanks

You will need to tie your jig to your leader with a locked blood knot, a uni knot or like we do with a perfection loop, as this will give the lure a bit more action. Then you put your squidgy on the jig head

Hope that helps and good luck

Cheers

If your using fireline, tie the jighead to a leader and the leader to the fireline, otherwise if your using mono straight to the mainline.

Dont use any swivels with soft plastics as it'l lose alot of its action

GOod luck!

A bit too large for the old brimbo. Flatties will eat it them though. I'd go for the smallest squidgies and jigheads for bream.
