They do the job - for sure

But look into making your own, the only tacklo I could find that had them was selling them for $7.95 - I'd rather buy a hard-body

Hi dave

I totally agree and you can buy the materials really cheap. If you have a flyfishig frienfd take a bought one and then buy the materials and some beers (or offer a ride in the boat)

It would come out alot less, the pattern is really easy to tie and is very durable.

Cheers

Where would one find the pattern and instructions for making your own Jelly Bellies? It looks like just a collar of something ahead of a regular single tail grub in the pics I saw.

I think it's just Chenille wrapped around a Barbell Eye with a softie glued to the end - have a look at the Fly-Fishing supply section of the tackle shop next time you're there, I'm sure you'll get some ideas, maybe even come up with 'PW-BREAM SPECIAL'

Thanks Dave and Dave, I got an ingredients list from Stuie in a personal message. Just need to collect the bits now and have a play.
I'll probably create a "Dog-eared pot belly" or something equally ghastly. I have tied flies before and caught fish on them too, but it was a while ago.
