Agree, The gekka looks nice but it's essentially a bit of a hybrid caldia with a certate rotor.

The presso is japan made on the luvias platform with a certate rotor pretty much!..

Hope this isn't confusing.

So does everyone still think the Luvias is the better reel? Very happy with mine but these look mad.

They do look hot aye

I haven't used one, but I would, just to look cool.

For their price, you can't expect a miracle.

Luvias are a decent reel, can't see this being too bad, maybe they just need some tlc out of the box, no biggy

I reckon you get more bang for your buck with the luvi and save around $70. Luvi gets less points for looks but more for fishability and quality I reckon. But I'd take a tate over both or a presso love my new presso has the looks and the quality.

I have mainly new luvias 2004's and thought I would try one of these. Got it out of the box and didn't even spool it. Was fairly disappointed

Homer Simpson had the same idea with the Homermobile... The Gekka look good, but in the end if it works why fix it

The gekka just needs a horn here, here and here. You can never find a horn when your angry.
