5000 size spool alternative.

mornin guys

ive got a stradic 5000fj with 50lb braid on it( hold up really well) and im looking for a second spool. all i can find on ebay and stuff is either 6000 size spools and 4000 sized spools.

does anyone know if the 4000 size spool fits on a 5000??

if not ill just buy one from shimano after the holidays ofr like $80

cheers whitingwrangler

4000 wont fit, but the 6000 will. I wouldnt bother gettin another 5000size spool I'd go for 6000, more line capacity

The 4000 and 5000 fj share the same body size, the 5000 might have a larger rotor to accomodate the wider spool though? From what I thought the 4000 would fit on a 5000 but the 6000 did not, so I'd check at your local tackle store for certainty
