Shimano complex. Anyone used this?

Thinking of buying one of these. I was going to buy another freams and then came across this reel on plat for >$150. Anyone used these? Never used shimano before but are they comparable to the freams?

Hey mate, I have a complex ci4 and love it. The reel you are looking at is a BB version, which stands for blood brother. Not as good as the real deal but would still be up there. Do a fair bit of research mate to check it's what ya after and alternatives.

It's the guy you bought it from. How's the reel holding up??? Caught some nice fish with it?

Back to OP, the Complex is a dedicated Bass reel. Or at least marketed that way. Partizan has the most updated model, 13 Ci4+. It was very nice and caught some very nice fish on it. BB reels are 'Blood Brother' reels that are just made with lower quality parts.

I haven't tried a BB reel before, but they look like they will do the job if you look after it.

My opinion, get a JDM Biomaster if you want a Shimano. Not a BB reel and has higher quality components. It's the FJ of Japan. Or even the new model JDM Caldia.

Have a look at the 2014 Caldia for similar money. Massive improvements over the old model.

Stay away from Diawa they stink lol
Caldias are really great reels for the $$$ all that technology.Same goes for the Stradic Ci4+ i have a 2500 and 3000 nice reels really smooth.

Mate the complex is fantastic. No regrets its what made me go back to the dark side (Shimano)
Havent really put it through its paces yet just some small brembos and a decent moses perch otherwise its collecting dust. The squid gear has come out so it will have to wait.

Mate whatever the boys say is good advice.Just get the best reel your money can buy.
If you want to save some bucks try over seas like Digitaka or even post a WTB that will help preloved doesnt mean inferior qty i bought my complex off the site and im really happy they guy looks after his gear. If you can stretch your budget then look at the caldia i had a 2508 nice reel.
Good luck majt
