Spin or bc
I know what reels to get, I just need to know if I should get a spin or baitcaster. This was in the other thread, but no one said whether I should get spin or baitcaster. It will be general purpose light salt, estuary and fresh. If it's a baitcaster it will be matched to a 2-5kg bass raider.

If its general purpose go spin. I own and use both alot but spin gear is alot more versatile

I reckon unless your spending a lot of time needing to accurately cast into tight spots a spin reel is way more versatile than a baitcaster.
A spin reel will cast further and is way easier to use, especially into any sort of wind.

Bc gear is extremely good for part A of your fishing but crap for part B where spin gear is good for part A (maybe not as good as bc but perfectly functional) and extremely good at part B. Hope this makes sense. I love my bc gear but if I had to choose one or the other id begrudgingly choose spin.

You're all fired up and keen to buy yourself a baitcaster outfit so why don't you? Of course, a spin outfit consisting of a 7' 2-5kg quality rod, together with a good 2500 size spin reel is the only rig that will tick all your boxes. What's likely to be the lightest lure that you will be casting? If it's around 4g or so, you would need a specialist finesse baitcasting set up and this same outfit wouldn't meet your heavier saltwater criteria. Just buy both a baitcasting outfit and a spin outfit and be done with it.

I will probably get a daiwa caldia, maybe match it to a second hand lox, and get a cheap tatula or shimano caenen.
