STIK 40 Hurricane in Color Pattern Lethal Prawn pins a nice 40 cm for Nordy Today was a SMOKERTHON fishing jettys with the STIK 40 in Color Patterns Lethal Prawn & Wizard
Drag fairly tight zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz gone SMOKED again.
Managed only 6 legals today. But also managed quite a few bust offs.
Using just 3lb Fluro 5 metres long as water was crystal clear to get the hit.
Great Day on the GIPPY LAKES. GIPPY Lakes is fishing well ATM

Again the Fluro Orange does the trick

I saw these in my local completeangler and picked one up, looks like a sweet lure. Are they something worth chucking around drop off and flats? Are these any good on whiting (I'm thinking they look like a popper but work off the bottom)?

Not sure if there any good for whiting sorry

Try them any where. even though I manly use STIK 40 around structure, Ive caught plenty of Bream etc On sand flats, Drop offs, River Bank Edges etc.

Fishing them deep or sand flats let them sink, then you can TWITCH Pause then along the bottom. When you TWITCH the STIK 40 it will come of the bottom maybe 30cm or so depending how hard you TWITCH it and the distance from the boat the cast is, TWITCH it rod tip down, give it slack and let it flutter back down. I find gentle TWITCHs work the best with pauses etc..

Structure just get the cast in nice and tight, Tighter the better. Its all about the cast.. Let it Flutter slowy down with slack line. Watch you line super close for any ticks, moves etc as it flutters down. Get ready to set the hook and pull the fish clear of structure. Normally Id would use fairly tight drag in the is situation. Light leader also, its better to get the bite and loose the fish then never to get it because you leader is too thick. 4lb is all you need, (I normally use 3lb). unless there super super aggressive on the day SMACKING at every cast then maybe 6lb is worth a try. Thats something youll have to work out.
