Owner or Decoy split rings?????

I've got a heap of hards to redo and i was just wondering which i should use.

Either Owner Fine wire splits or Decoy Light class splits??

Are split rings much of a muchness or is one better than the other?

I use owners because you get more in the pack but i have used both just depends on availability

Dont think you will notice any difference between them and no way a bream will pull them so they are sweet, they are both quality brands

Cheers mate.

Just had a look at the owners. Says they come in black chrome finish or stainless. I just want the plain stainless finish but they only had black. Keep lookin!!!

Pretty sure you get the same in both packs i have used both but I like the decoys alot more they feel slightly better and they don't get bent and ruined as much as the super fine owners can but both are good and I still use owners occasionally

I like the black finish more I reckon it helps the splits not stand out as much

Thanks mate. I just wasnt sure if that black finish would flake off like it has on some splits that ive recently removed. But im not that worried about the split standing out though since it has a pretty obvious treble hanging off it anyway.

What do you mean "same in both packs"? Quantity wise?

Just wish i could find some of the plain silver. Not a big deal if i cant though i guess.

i actually just went to get some packs this arvo and there is more in the owners but yeah all good mate

Manno i think that being silver could attract unwanted species TAYLOR!!!!! so black for me is better
But its all personal preference

Pete

The black doesnt flake off? I can handle replacing blunt trebles but not splits unless they're damaged.

Id assume the black chrome finish would still be stainless like the plain ones?

No idea mate. Just stripped about 120 hards so the brain was in auto pilot. But what i noticed was flaking off of that chrome black finish on quite a few. I know its not a big deal but if i can avoid it then why not.

ABSOLUTE DECOY...

i have had Owner Decoy Maria Yamashita clips on, decoy is the best because...

on the loop end of decoy (where u lock it) u would notice the little barb is pretty straight, this make the clip work perfectly on hardbodies, particulayly on jigheads and blades, squid jig .etc, basicly a clip for all...

all other brands, u could try to put it on a jighead or blades...u understand what i am talking about...

for break strenth, they all good, free of worry....
