Chasing Redfin and Trout in the South West

Hey gents I am looking at heading down South in WA chasing some trout and redfin I have plenty lures. But was wondering if anyone has tried or had any joy using crawbug soft plastics. I have seen some black ones which look similar to Marron. I intend on heading down there with my son when I get home in a couple of weeks. Any info would be appreciated.

I had a few casts with one on the weekend on the Donnelly river. Bream love them. Redfin will like them but unsure about trout
