New 2014 Stella

I have just heard form a very reliable source that new smaller Stellas will be released next year.

Probably a no brainer since the stockists have been discounting the current model for some time now.

I love my 2500FE and would like to see how they can improve on it.

Definitely would like to see them trim some weight off it.

All I want them to improve on with this model is to put a louder drag clicker in. The current model is almost silent.
The other improvement I'm after is cosmetically. The Fe is nice but I reckon they could do better if they tried.

The only Stella in the Shimano 2014 catalogue are SW and an FE.

If it's coming It'll be released in America at their big tackle shows middle next year and we will see it in October i reckon.
In catalogue 2015.

I reckon they don't need to change much it'll probably just be styled similar to the new sw.

I'll be wanting one for sure

will be sharing the same handle and metal knob as the vanquish limited, same style spool but with side slits. different bottom cover design. different spool cap design and different coatings on spool lip and something to do with the line roller system. .. colour change and some sealing, corrosion resistance crap. Extra kg of drag some how. Aimed more for the salt water fisherman next year. No extra bearings.

That's what I've heard a few months back (uncle is a supplier/trawler for the Asian market). Will wait and see if he was just having a dig.

if its anything like the vanquish in terms of the lightness and reduced winding inertia there's gonna be a lot of happy folks out there who seek a more finesse-type stella.. but then the old robust stella is gone. Can't have it all.

All I wish for is for it to be lighter, less start up winding inertia, less play, smoother, not use paperclip wire for a bail arm, and a louder drag.

Paperclip bail arm still stronger than tubular airrubbish
