Varivas High GRade PE Line.......anyone tried ?

http://www.plat.co.jp/shop/catalog/p...-9lb-150m.html

I picked up some if this stuff in the 0.8 PE size. Seems pretty well priced on the net, their competition to the Power Pro / Fireline type lines. Anyone used it before ? I like the line colour and markings, cheaper that Power Pro Bite Motion etc.

Really? How would you compare it to Sunline Super PE?

A lot better than sunline I reckon. I run Varivas in all my reels from pe0.3-10 and I'm yet to have any problems with line.

Wow, not bad for a line costing less than $30 delivered. Looking forward to using it.

The High Grade is a 4 plat braid it is nice, but the 8 plat lines from VARIVAS are far superior.
We have some PE POWER FINESS on sale in PE 1 and up.

My Line arrived, for the price it seems unbeatable. I removed 100m or so of 4lb Fireline in Smoke(can be hard to see when casting out) and removing 10m or so of the backing, the whole 150m went onto the Arbor spool in the smallest 30 size. Glad i got this over Power Pro Bite Motion. I like the markings on this thing, hopefully help me with plastics fishing etc. Also ties a deadly knot.

Having never ever snapped Braid on fish, only knots, its gonna interesting using a line a lil thicker than 4lb Fireline (0.8PE Approx 0.148mm Vs Fireline 0.13mm) but rated at 11lb ??!! It this detrimental to the Rod, which are a much lighter line class rating ?

Noticed in the back of the packet, there is some complimentary 2.5m worth of 12lb Fluoro I think. Dunno what i will use that on.

So far ive only used varvias milky and it's been great. Can't say i like the pink colour though but at least it's visible.
Good luck with the new line!

Thanks for that. Its hard. Fireline in smoke probably doesn't need a leader below 6lb so hard to see.
