Clips/snap size

I just went down to the local tackle store and saw the range of sizes for clips.
Does it matter what size clip I use for blades?
Planning on using it on the VX40 blade and the TT switchblade 1/8oz.
Should i stick with the clip given to me when i bought the blade or can i use a clip smaller than that. Such as size 00 which is about 8mm.

Go for the smallest ones your fingers can manipulate. The smaller the better.

For blades, use the ones supplied, for hards use the smallest you can undo/do up.

When you say use the ones supplied is it because it is the designed size clip for the lure? What if I was to use a smaller clip for the blade would it impact its swimming action?

Yamashita Egi Snaps are probably some of the best i have used in the SS size. Amazing build quality. Breaden Quick snaps would come in a close second for ease of use. Decoy W snaps are pretty good as well.

I find the Owner ones better over the decoy ones for me I find the decoy ones bend out of shape alot but the decoys got the black colour I like better I'm a big user for decoys in other terminal stuff but their clips are a little let down for us IMO.

I cant say enough good things about the decoys. I use them mainly in 00 and 0, never had an issue. Only time I have straightened one was when I was fishing very heavy line in snags and was snagged up and putting direct force on the lure attached to a jighead. They have never let me down on a fish.

Yep the Decoys in 00 and 0 are by far the best...Easy to open and close yet super strong! I wont use anything less...
