Shimano man or Daiwa man!!!

Hi all,

Been a Shimano man for a while now and leaning to the dark side hahaha and thinking of buying my first Daiwa reel and rod, I'm a bit upset to see that Daiwa have come out with so much reels, rods and new technology and that Shimano have been shadowed by Daiwa! When you look at the range of Shimano's compared to Daiwa you no Daiwa are so far ahead in range of reels, rods, lures and technology...

All Shimano have is there Stella range and that's probably there only reel made in Japan(not that it matters)! To me Shimano rods are rubbish even there T curves, have a few and they just collect dust on the rod racks.

Look at Daiwa and you see the saltiga dog fight which is probably a better reel even thou I own a Stella! They have the Catalina etc!

Don't even get me started on there finesse reels...

What do you guys think Shimano are falling back and can't keep up with Daiwa?

Lets make a vote who's a Shimano man and who's a Daiwa man?

This vote will determine the next brand of reel and rod ill buy hahaha!!!

Please share your thoughts on this and I might just be talking a whole load of bull but this is my opinion even thou my opinion means nothing lol.... Just interested to hear your thought on this!!!

Thanks all in advanced!!!

Yeah, Shimano don't have a lot of products for the Au market in comparison to Daiwa but their JDM stuff is awesome. Check out sites like Plat and you'll see they get so much more Shimano gear than we do. It sucks i have more daiwa gear but still like a lot of the Shimano stuff out there.

Hi Chris268,

Yeah I had a look already and it's disappointing to see how much variety they have compared to here. I'd love to buy a reel form overseas but I've had some very bad experiences with buying online. Hopefully soon they start bringing them into the Aussie market. Thanks for the reply.
