stick minnows

Hi guys,

I use Tiemco stick minnows.

Would like to hear from anyone that has used these lures if the other brands that have stick minnows, work as well as the Tiemco

Thanks on any info

Shinku's go pretty good. Virtually the same just 2 mm shorter. Tiemco just have a winning formula tho. Hands down probably the best sinking stick made.

Yes others are as affective and fish them the same as what you would with the Tiemco's.

Have a look at the Atomic Semi Hardz too andrico! Great flutter on the drop and a proven fish catcher! (And well priced)

On many occasions I've had bream and other species come back for a second or third crack at the lure if they missed it on the first attempt and I'm sure it's due to the soft body which doesn't scare them off like you'd find on a 'conventional' stick minnow.

Cheers,
Paul

on my recent trip to Tyers, I went through three Tiemco's.
Lost them to either flatties or bust off in snags.

In April killed it on the flats with the Tiemco.
I love them, and color chose are 007 and 011.

Sometimes though I find I need a faster sinking lure or a slightly longer lure that is my reason for starting this post but have also just finishing reading the Stick Minnow thread.

give the strike pro sprat sticks a crack mate,at 50mm and 4.3grams they are bit heavier than the tiemco's and are a great price with plenty of colours in the range

Not many i havent tried and in the end i believe the Tiemco's are the best... their flutter on the drop and sink rate is perfect IMO....

I'm not sure how much of that thread is actually about Sticks Think there were a few people on some powerful stuff that night

My fav hands down is Tiemco but that's prob just a confidence thing, the Shinku's are great and prob as good. Ive got a few of the Storm Sticks that i plan on testing when i actually get a Bream sesh in they look alright but have heard very little about them. Shirasu's are great as well and a pretty underated lure in the Strike Pro Sprats although they are larger than what a lot of people like using.
