I have a 1016 T3 and love it.

Matched to the right rod. In my case a GraphiteLeader Neo Veloce MH which has been converted to the twister style guides. You can cast with it all day.

I have a left handed version, used it this year for the first time, I predominantly used it during the Barra nationals this year, throwing very lightly weighted plastics.

I love mine, its not as nice a reel as my Calcutta DC which when I use big minnows I prefer.

But for the medium to light stuff, the T3 is supurb.

Ive had nearly every Daiwa Baitcaster recently made, and the T3 is a good as any of the others...

i think its better than most of daiwas bc! i own 2, an slp tuned custom and now the megabass fx68. pretty hard to beat for ease of casting and you get alot of distance outta them. oh yeh im getting more to!

I've got a t3 ballistic limited edition. Was a bit skeptical of the t3 design at first but after using it for a couple months. Will definitely be buying a t3 1016 for sure. Ease of casting over normal levelwind baitcasters is quite noticeable IMO

What's the FX68 like to use?

I think the Tatula comes out soon. They have the T Wing system also. Might be worth looking into.

not sure what megabass did but its better, would like to handle an sv to compare between the 2 but the fx68 is really something else and my thoughts are echoed by some US fishos who have a few t3 variants.
tatula type r looks good, different t wing system and metal frame so it will feel alot different but should be good, i wouldnt mind trying one of them either
