[Ripen lips]

Hay all. I have been looking for these for a wile now hand have herd good things about them so sorta bought up on them. Just wondering how people fish them to get best results. Can they be worked sorta like a stickbait, being a sinking lure? Any input would be Much appreciated. Cheers.

Hey mate, here's my honest review. I bloody love stick minnows and was keen to try these guys out. Yes they are good hardbody but really the flutter they have is pretty pathetic. Not to say there great for bream and stuff but to use them like other stick minnows is tough. Thanks Nick

Lol. Knot what I wanted to hear. So maybe will give them a go around the mariners. Just sink them down slow roll and a twitch here and there?

As they flutter slowly and are perfect for sitting in the fishes face, i use them around deep laydown timber, just letting them sink with a few slow lifts to keep them just above the snags, and when it comes to parallel casting along deep weed/reed edges you cant beat them!
Just let them sink on a slack line with a few slow lifts/upward rod twitches and you'll get great results.

soft flutter for a reason,,like other lures that aren't erratic got to use them at the right time but that's up to you when they'll work,,

Exactly mate, best thing is when the bream are shutdown you can slow roll them off the bottom and generally the bream eat it out of a reaction bite, great lures!!

At first I had no idea how to use them (and Im still experimenting with them!!) but they work great when worked like a plastic, but really shine when you incorporate that bib. A slow roll here and there and lots of pauses/twitches drives fish crazy, especially because it is such a wide-wobbling lure when worked correctly

Agreed ! Love that colour for the Blacks. It has a great flutter and does not sink too quick either.

My best luck on these has come casting them parallel to structure, letting them sink halfway in the water column( time relative to depth) then working them like you would a hard bodied minnow...

An erratic retrieve seems to get the bream angry enough to hit....
