lure definitions

Hi all,
new to the forum, & new to luring etc.
what is the difference between the following hard body lures?

minnow,
crank,
shad,

and how are they identified?
thanks in adavance.

best way to find out is google each hit the image button, and you will see the difference,,someone will put it up in words but pictures tell a thousand words,,just wait till you have to work out how to retrieve them,,that's the fun part

They're basically differentiated by their body shape.

A minnow lure is usually long in relation to it's width. Its elongated body makes it look like a minnow, hence the name.

A crank is usually quite short and thick through the body. Its a compact lure, but due to its thickness it's usually quite heavy for its size making it good to cast.

A shad is in between the two already mentioned. It will usually have a thicker head and shoulders, tapering away to a thinner tail, often with a concave underbelly.

Check out the Cranka lures, they have a crank, shad and minnow.

I use them all the same way. slow roll.
