New reel knob - custom made
What do you guys think?
I had the idea, Jackson (fearlessboagan) made it happen. This is the first attempt, a few more to come. |

Nice - what is it CNC?
I was thinking of making some out of cork and sealing them - problem is the shaft. Would have to use a donor shaft from a old handle knob or have a few CNC'd up. |

Thanks mate. It was just done on a manual lathe.

So its timber? Alu?
Would be nice to see a Ti knob - I know the guys from Candle Power Forums make their own torches, lanyard beads and all that on their mini lathes - I know that they can make some intricate stuff (google it) and they could make Ti knobs for sure - rough knurling, multi coloured anodising or even with Tritium vials for those that fish at night... ![]() I would assume that a knob would set you back for Alu $30 and Ti $80 from bar stock TiAl6v4. |

Sorry, it is Alu.
I will have to check it all out, see what they do. I am not to sure If we can make a T knob, will let you know if we can though. |

Similar, yes. We wanted something like it, but thought we could do something ourselves. No expenses on it either and they aren't being manufactured for the public.

As you can see, it is coloured gold. That is just a colour Jackson was able to do at the work shop. We're gonna take them to be painted properly eventually.
