I've been trawling around looking at these too. Found a bit of info from the US. Sounds like they will be fully sealed and have a few gear ratio choices. Poor mans Stella SW apparently. The pic is from from Alan Hawk.

Looks like it'll be good though!

Yeah I'm not sure which way to think. Looks like the new reel will have all the fancy stuff, but the old gosa was a simple tuff reel. I like to clean and service my reels as much as I can, so might wait and see what the run out prices are like on th old ones
@bestyak, have a google around mate. I think they're talking US$400 ish on the US sites.

From Alan Hawk's site, release date is icast, on sale September. Price around US$240 for the 5000 size upto $400 for the 25000. Would love to see the larger reel, I'm hoping it could be good for surf mullies.

don't like it at all! its lost the HD look and most likely feel of the F series. id rather spend the same price on a Biomaster SW 8000. looks like it will be housing the worm gear if they've added X-Ship to it. Wont sell many 4000 - 8000's. im sure a lot of people may take a liking for deeper waters where a 10,000 plus is standard.... anyone else notice the huge drop in price on the Stella's and Sustains the past few months??

Alan Hawk is the man.

I look forward to reading his review. They seemed to be priced pretty competitively.

From reading all his reviews id grab a Catalina. basically a saltiga minus a couple of unimportant bearings. Seems the best value for money reel of the lot at the moment.

Stella seems to be the ultimate though. The new SW must be even better.

Ill assume the new SW must be a whole lot better than simply how it feels in the hand. The new 30000 that i had a play with felt hollow, plasticy and very cheap.....

I bought a Sustain 5000 FG the other month... I THINK ITS CRAP...

Not worth the money they are asking - should have bought the run out Saragosa 5000 from B.C.F for $230 - or cheaper if you can screw them down a notch.

How does it feel plasticy when there's no plastic? I've got the 10000 and it feels awesome everywhere.
