Alphas type R

I have a alphas type r and have noticed it seems to have a bit of end float in the main shaft i.e the shaft that has the crank handle on it.It gives a loud click when moved back and forth and I have also noticed a noise on an unweighted rewind usually when I throw a casting plug around the back yard. Have other owners noticed this ,is it just a common thing with alphas or does it need to be investigated further?
