New rod for SPs?

Hi all,

Im looking to buy a new rod 1-3kg to use mainly for sps, going to match it up with a 1000 sustain fg, looking to spend around $250. What rods are best bang for buck in this price range? Was thing about a lox?

but as i said in it in my opion i love the pflueger trions. i have a few in 1-3kg 1 peice and 2-4kg 1 piece and cant really fault them imo

I have a couple of Lox Yoshi's that i use for placcies good rod for that sort of coin.

I have one of these on the way too. Tossing up between a lox or a gen black. Bad reports on the easily breakable tips are making me think twice about the lox.

Mate ive had one of my Yoshi's for almost two years has been banged around like crazy and never had a single issue with it.

I have snapped tips off both my lox rods previously but purely due to mishandling! Still some of my favourite rods for the price

for a person that works in the fishing industry, i come across alot of lox's that have had their tip broken off, infact we have about 3 out the back of the store now. dont get me wrong they are a fantastic rod for the coin.

personal choice i'd go for a trion, that way you have a bit of $$ left over.

If you like fast action/crisp rods; go with gen blacks.

I haven't used a lox, but I did pick one up for the first time a week ago and I'd say the gen black would be the way to go considering performancerice. Even better if you can get your hands on a black label.
