Hummerfication of the Nation

With the fish moving away from the edges in the last month or so I have been pulling out the vibes a little more frequently. One vibe in particular is smashing every other lure in my box.

The Hummer, by Strike Pro.

In only a few sessions with the lure I have accounted for a heap of bream as well as salmon and trevs.

Who else is experiencing success with the hummers? Post your photos.

Not quite in the same league as Beechey's, but I got this little soapie today on a hummer. I've now scored bream, jewies, trevs, salmon, snapper and flathead on hummers! Best lure ever!

I've got a couple good to go, only attracted pinkies and flatties so far.....

I'm off to Mallacoota next fortnight and it'll Be interesting to see how they go.

If anyone used em at the vic classic round with success let us know!
Cheers matt

What sort of a retrieve do you blokes use? I tried a Hummer this weekend and it hardly had any action at all. I had to retrieve it very quickly before I could see any action whatsoever. It didn't have much of an action on the drop either. I tried using both attachment points and, yes, I was using an attachment method that allows for total freedom of movement.

It's not like that I'm a newby when it comes to using vibes. I've caught lots of bream on other vibes, in fact, I caught 4 just today on a little Duo vibe.

So, what's the secret? Or, did I get a dud?

I find that they vibrate more than most plastic vibes on the market. Its not a metal blade, so you wont get the violent vibration that you would from a cyber vibe or similar lure.

Try varying your retrieve, I often use a faster hop with very little pause to great effect. I also use the front tow point when casting the lure.
