Hey, interested in this as i use a uni but find its hard to control the length of the eventual stinger. Any tips or knots to get around this?

+1 for the uni, I have also tied a palomar knot, surgeons loop when i'm lazy and my old time favourite is an arbor knot. I use the arbor knot on fly fishing, is simple & quick to tie.

i was told a locked half blood knot is good for getting your length good & gave it a crack the other day, & it works well

Uni at the jig head, locked blood knot on the stinger. Works fine to control the length of the stinger
