Not even the lowest daiwa or shimano reels weigh that much in a 1500 size haha

i bought the 2000 which is 267g,thats only 7g more than a 2500 sol but weight is the reason i didn't get the 2500.I saw the specs on the 1500 and it must be wrong i reckon.
cheers nereus p.s should match up on my tip heavy Tspec lol

They are only a very new player in the market, their world launch was at the trade show just gone, certainly some good looking gear amongst their line up and it will certainly be interesting to see how it goes. The prices are certainly pretty impressive.
I played with all of the models and the one that I thought felt the best was actually one of the mid price range models! |

I have been privy enough to test a couple of these for a couple months now and love them to bits , from big Sambo's to Pinkies to the humble Bream and I must say "excellent" reels for the money! and a 5 year warranty I do believe. A very good smooth reel for any budget, Ive got a Kyzer on my new Samaki Zing and cosmetically looks schmick without the massive price tag so a win win for any angler.More money for lures

Not true, just stating a fact and as Nereus said the facts seem wrong, didn't mention anything wrong with the reel. Looks good and for the price even better. And I don't bag I just like some things better than others and there is nothing wrong with that. So just settle down. And I hope the reel serves well for him.

So who's stocking these already (especially in Melbourne) and anyone have any views on the baitcasters? I'm looking for something cheap (but not nasty) for my first baitcast combo - going on a mojiko tournament I got for $40 new

They look like the designer is a Daiwa fan, a few similarities (to older non air rotor models). I think they look pretty good. Doesn't look like they have CRBB's? For the price I think they look very good on paper, I like the design.
The black BC's look pretty good Keen to here the reports on how they feel after a few sessions and some decent work Cheers Chris

Sorry graphicv,i've no idea where you would got them in Vic.
As for the daiwa connection BB the bloke in the shop reckoned they are old Daiwa molds, i did notice that when i took off the spool it looked the same.Either way they feel good for the money and i just needed a reel for one of my spare rods to keep the kids away from my other stuff thanks blueh20 sounds promising. cheers nereus

Big launch for a new brand.. Seems a lot of people are talking about them.
They are mostly running carbon fiber drag washers as standard as well. I just had to pay to upgrade my Stradic and Sustain to that. |

Christened the Ecooda last night with a reasonable fish, smooth reel and nice line lay.I will check out the bail line roller though as i reckon it was a bit sticky on a slow retrieve, probably lack of lubricant.Sorry about my crap pic, i had my hands full
cheers nereus
