Hey guys has anyone used these reels before? the look nearly identical to the ci4 , found them browsing online and they seem to be a budget reel but claim to have all the good features , let me know what you think guys?

How much did/ are they looking for it? I agree they are a flash looking reel but the specs don't match the dollars. In fact when you read the shimano right-up they pretty much home in on the cosmetics first.

There a plastic reel not CI4 or alu frame for a start. They do look Like a stradic but not as good by a long shot. Only 3 bearing, more than twice the drag pressure, etc. I'd stay away from it.

Hey,
If you only want to spend $100 I'd consider it, they seem ok for their price range but obviously you won't get the features and quality that you would in a reel 3 times the price. After all, you get what you pay for. The symetre is a fantastic reel, I own 2 and they are virtually bullet proof. One of mine is around 3 years old now and has never been serviced and it's still going strong. I'm only hearing good things about the Salt, I plan on getting one myself in the near future. Although I only think they come in 3000 and up sizes (I could be wrong??) and have a reasonably high gear ratio.

Forgot about the AIRD, I agree though they are a great piece of kit! I dropped mine in the drink in march, sent it Daiwa who said it was unrepairable but I picked it up today from the cabnet and it still is smooth (for a reel that was unrepairable and dunked). I'm still gonna use it for my racks applications

Great little reels for the price! My mate has one and it's surprisingly very smooth.
