what do us guyz think about the side consoles would they not be abit lopsided if u go by urself

i think with side consoles they can lean over to one side, so if you do go by your self, maybe if you have one of those big tackle boxes that weighs alot you could use that?, ne way way wots wrong with tiller steer, as a side console might get in your way during a dance around ther boat with a fish.

Luke, I have a 5M Top ender with a side console and have no complaints regarding the lean or it's 'fishability'. With a few people on board, as often happens there is a degree of safety as they tend to walk the centre line rather than the sides, therefore creating better stability. When by myself there is very little lean and certainly not enough to worry about.

I am going through the connundrum now of deciding what console to get for my boat! It is now a tiller steer, but due to the size of the boat and the weight factor, I need to move weight forward to trim it correctly!

I initially thought of a side console, which wouldnt be a problem I dont think as far as stability goes. But because I like going outside occasinally, I think the safer option would be a centre console in my instance. Having a side console may tend to get a bit wet on those rough days!

Personally I think centre is the best way to go. More room to walk around the side to fish which is what we're really after. Balance is alos a big thing to me.
