My friend has mostly been using his with bait and has been getting some 30+ KGW to 55cm on a 2500. He uses his small yak of one of our local beaches, and it copped a bit of spray but hasn't been dunked, a seems to be about as smooth as when he bought it, he has it matched with Shimano Sonic Pro 2-5kg. He has had it for a few months now with good use about twice a week.

Best value reel on the market hands down!

Mine has been mainly used as a bait reel and back up bream reel and has caught a lot of fish, been neglected a bit to be honest and still literally feels straight out of the box.

As with anything if you spend more you'll notice the difference, but for $109 inc aus wide post they are very hard to beat.

I had one for a while, it took an unfortunant dive off the boat and is now stuffed. Costs more to repair (quote from Daiwa) than it costs to buy a entire new reel. Wasn't a bad reel but did feel a bit cheap.
