any1 use alternate SP rigs for bream?
Hi - my first post - it's a great forum here - i've learnt heaps.
I'm just wondering if anyone uses alternate softplastic rigs other than threading on a jighead. I'm particularly interested to see if anyone uses weedless rigs. I fish in areas with a lot of seagrass which makes life a little difficult. Do the bream still hook up on weedless rigs? In general, how successful are alternate rigs? thanks bf |

Haven't had the chance lately for bream, but I know the Texas Rig works well, as does a very lightly weighted SP over Oyster racks on the high tide. I tried the new squidgy bug with a small split shot to get it down in the current. Bream reckon it was great on the Clyde.

G'Day Bob, I like to use the weedlless with stick baits or larger placcies. Havent caught a bream since using this method but plenty of flatties and tarwhine.
Hope this is some help. L8tr Barry
