wild thing

Quietachiever, well done mate. Those lures have some wild lookin' shapes. What sort of actions do your lures have and what depth do they run at? Your colours look all plain wood with spots and orangey gold., they must be you favorites.

Have a nice Christmas.
regards Robman

The plain wood looking ones, actually look like Gold paint from a model (cars, planes, etc) paint company. I have the same colour.
Just out of interest QA...have you tried the Metallic Bronze colour yet?...I have used it on my homemaeds, and it has performed the best so far.

cheers

Dave

colour blind

hi fellas
Yeh I read somewhere that fish were generally colour blind,& that they picked up on shapes & patterns&shades ,noise & vibration,so I went the dotts & lines in different configs & upsized for the Image projection & wow!the paints I use are from WAsalvage (acrylic golds, copper, bronze, black, red &white my proto types I use an Acylic clear until I am happy with the waggle & the end result is done with a two pac clear.Ive landed fish in the 40`s now & the lures dont scratch they are hard like glass.Ive got the bug bad now & I thought the buying bug was bad wait till you catch consistantly & build confidence in your own handcrafted babies.Ive moved me bed to the shed now next to the fridge Now Ive started experimenting with two piece Lures with bibs & the waggle makes the back end move 90deg in every angle with the front half swiming like a normal lure, caught up to 32cm yesterday arvo & now I will upsize for the 40+`s,here we go again.catchya QA
Merry xmas &new year, health& happiness to all

time

hi chaser
With a couple of terrorist knives, coarse & fine sandpaper,a&b areldite(5mins)& two sizes of mig wire & a couple of pairs of pliers, the cedar ones take about 30mins to get to painting stage & the fibraglass/resin ones take approx 10min to clean up 3 at a time & glue the bibs on,about 20to30mins in moulds to dry & 5mins to set up a mould give or take a few mins either way.I cut out the bibs one night, cut & bend the wires&make the terminal connections another, cut out the shapes & glue them anothernight about 12 to 15 of & shape them over the week ready for painting come thurs/fri night & casting them the following week.
