Crankas and Yellowfin Bream

To all my Canadian and Eskimo brothers and sisters (North of Victorian border)

Just wondering what colour Cranka is your favourite/most succesful when targeting Yellowfin Bream?

There's alot of colours that work!

My favourites though:

Clear water: BBQ Prawn, Pink Bits, Ghost bluegill, Wicked Prawn, Olive Prawn (For those days the water is that greenish colour).

Dirty water: Salmon Gutts, Beer Bottle, Black Flame.

Todd

Flash Prawn is my all time favourite. Other colours that have been working well for me lately have been Smoke Prawn and Wicked Pawn.

I usually base it on the water colour first and pick a colour to match.
Clear water = clear colours
Dirty water = Dark colours

Bream on the Gold Coast love the flash prawn with a dead slow roll!

Is that both in the shallow and deep cranks?

In the really crystal clear waters of the nambucca river I found that smoke prawn, wicked prawn and ice minnow to be the most effective colours! The yellowfin were more than willing to smash those colours when I working them slowly across the weed edges

Yep. Although I havent been using the shallows as much lately, the deeps swim at that perfect depth for canals here on the Goldy.

Sorry if you're frustrated, buddy, but you don't have to read it if you think it's been done...

There have been other general Cranka colour theads, yes.

I am asking specifically NSW and QLD anglers about Yellowfin bream...not which is their favourite in general, which is their favourite and/or which they have had the most success with on the yellowfin.

I am trying to put a cranking kit together for a couple of tournaments coming up.

If there was only 8 or 10 colours, I'd get a couple of each and that'd be the end of it...but Steersy had to go and do 20 colours...

Steersy, are you for bloody real mate???

You're getting me into trouble on Breammaster mate!!!

Anyway, any further suggestions or words of advice welcome...I am trying to narrow it down to 6 colours SPECIFICALLY for yellowfin bream.

Hahaha.

If I were to have six colours it would be Wicked Prawn, Pink Bitts, BBQ Prawn, Ghost Bluegill, Beer Bottle and Salmon Gutts.
