Lure for distance cast

Hi All,

At williamstown warmies, people usually fish for snapper using bait, is there any hard body lure that allow for more distance cast into deeper water?

Depends what ssize fish your talking. Bait is fine, its not like bait is really, really bad but it feels and it is cooler to catch them on a lure.
Never been there so im just givin' some general advice.
Use like 4-5g jigheads with 100mm wrigglers, flickbaits or bigger vibes. (around 50mm) just hop and/or lift the tip and drop with the vibes. you should bet a few.
snapper will take most plastics that fit in their mouths.
You will be able to cast far with that.

Any idea on how deep it really is??? But to make sure your getting to the bottom I would be using 1/4oz vibes tts switchblades, Berkley mf50s, ecogear zx40 would be wicked. To aid it catching fish there use scents such as darren 'dizzy' borgs stuff in garlic. Also large 1/8 - 1/4. Maybe even half oz jig heads if it's really deep with 4" turtle back worms and a longer hook and possibly a Stinger. 3-4" minnow and grub plastics will work great 100-120 mm squidgy wriggles. Many options out there but unless your trolling hards probably aren't the best way to go.
