Yamaha VZ150TLR over V150TLR

Hey guys, Im currently looking at a boat that has a V150TLR, on the back, my questions in realation to the difference between the V150TLR and the VX150TLR.

These codes may be the american codes, as i cant find the V-max ( V150TLR ) the boat had anywhere here in australia.

As far as im aware , the new V-Max has direct injection and the older ( V150TLR )has a Carbureter.

For some one who's not learned on outboards, should i be looking to upgrade to the new vmax , as the option is there.
