Defintely worth upgrading the drag to carbon washers. Im sure bearings will aid in casting lighter lures too.

I am planning on putting carbon tex drags in mine. Probably won't upgrade the bearings as the lures won't be heaps light

Makes a huge difference to the reel if you upgrade the bearings!
It also helps to have a nice light rod to go with the reel though.

I'm no expert but from what i understand ceramic bearings are miles better than stainless, for one they can never corrode. But if you want full ceramic it will probably cost you more than you paid for the reel.

These are awesome bearing. You can run them dry without any problems, which is what i do. If you do use oil, only use a drop - too much oil will actually make it worse. From what i've read, using oil in these bearings will make them slightly smoother and less noisier.
I'd spin the handle on my Revo S pretty fast then put the reel into free spool, without the abecs it would spin for about 15 seconds. With the bearings installed, it will spin for close to a minute.

Do the tension knob bearing as well while you're replacing them.
