Daiwa Ryoga or Pluton
hey guys can someone tell me the differnce between these 2 ill be using the reel for lightish reef fishing in and around hervey bay. I can get a pluotn a fair bit cheaper

either one would be fine as both will still feels like a tank.ryoga costs a couple more hundreds than plutonithink the only difference is a few internal parts.bearing wise,i think theres 2 or 4 just on the handles.

They are both the same reel. The Jap model has a more sweeped handle with 4 bearings in the knobs. That is the only difference.

I've had a pluton for since they came out, heavy weights of the bait casting world. Would make a great mini jogging reel, have nailed some big fish on it and it begs for more

Ryoga, heard from someone saying it actually performs better than the pluton. its like the jap-spec steez and the us-spec steez

They are actually made from a different grade of aluminum.
The Ryoga is a lighter weight material compared to the Pluton. This was intentional as the Daiwa Aus guys know what sort of stress we put them under compared to just catching large mouth bass. |
