For a start, the steez and exist are mechanically identical, the only difference being the cosmetics. I own both a steez and a stella and can honestly say the stella is by far a better reel. The stella is an absolute workhorse with mountains of cranking power, while remaining silky smooth and has a feeling of fluidity not found in high end daiwa reels. The only down side is that it is heavier than the steez. The steez is rediculously light, and has slightly better line management than the stella, which tends to lead to smoother casting and less line twist, however the actual cranking power isn't even close to that of the stella, and is not as smooth. The steez is also a lot cheaper, and can be found for around the $500 mark. If you're looking for a reel that will perform above and beyond it's size then get the stella, IMO they're the best performing reel on the market. If you're after a light reel that will perform brilliantly, have no intention of pushing it too hard, and want what I would call the best value for money reel you can buy, then get the steez. All that being said, for some reason I probably like using the steez more. hope this helps

I feel strange saying this but the new Stellas are miles ahead. Bullet proof and smooth as silk, a few grams more but nothing that 99.9% of anglers would ever notice.

Just do what i did and buy all three. That way you can't be disappointed. The Stella Fe is the newest steed in my stable. X ship is great. But.....the exist and steez are also hot as. Then there is the exist hyper branzino to add to the equation. Really interested to see if daiwa put out a new version of the exist

I have a 2508 Steez and love it. For around $500 you won't get better IMO.

Pretty much what stella fella said really. Get a Stella if you plan to use the reel for some heavier stuff.

Probly should look it up myself but I'm being lazy. What's the difference between them?

I have a Steez and a exist hyper branzino custom, for me the Steez is the best feel on the market, smoother than a Stella I reckon if you get it serviced regularly. One thing that gets me about the Stella's is the really thin bail arm compared to the daiwa. They are great value for money too.

lol I buy them locally so it's no problem. It's the $50 "megerbuss" rods you really need to watch out for.

Mine is from plat, when they were doing the special. C3000 compact 2500 body with 3000 spool I think.
I have two exist 2508 even when it was brand new, it is still not as smooth as the stella. and the stella has more cranking power I feel. It has a more solid feel to it.It is slightly heavier but if it balances the rod I cant tell the difference. I am running 12lb rod though.
Saying that I will still get another exist when it launches the new model, but in the mean time stella beats the exist.

Me too. Out of the three I d still pick the steez and I love my 2508.

Or, if you can wait for a while, there are rumors from Japan that Daiwa is going to release new exist/steez in 2012. But lets hope it doesnt feature mag seal...........or I ll going to grab some current model now as long as they are still available.
