Olympus TG-810

Hey guys,

I am looking at buying a Olympus TG-810 camera, just wondering if anyone has one of these and if so what are they like. They look like a great hardy little camera.

Cheers
Tim

They have been plagued with issues.
Poor battery life,GPS fix problems, picture quality to name a few.
Better off with the Lumix or Leica.
That's my opinion.
Cheers

Well coming from someone who has actually used one, they are great and wouldnt trade it for a Lumix, despite seeing them in action. Dont believe me?
Well take a look at the pics, you just have to know your camera to get the best out of it and i am an amateur!!

The battery life is awesome, i left it on for 20minutes solid videotaping by accident with 1/3 of battery left. still went on to film the hook-ups for the rest of the night mulloway fishing which was another 3 hours. picture quality is AWESOME, just have to know how to use your camera properly. no way i would pay another 200 for a lumix. i dont know wether you have ever used one, but thats all BS from my experience. i havent used the GPS though.

We ended up buying the olympus. Really happy with it, turned the GPS of as this option will drain your battery. Like any GPS they will use power searching for signals. Picture quality is awesome. As for the other reason for choosing the Olympus was due to servacibilty and back up. We can get the camera serviced locally were with other brands you have to send them away at your own cost. My thoughts anyways:-)

Cheers
