reel suggestions for Nitro ulrafinnesse spin 1-3kg

Hi,
After a new reel for the above rod to replace a damaged tierra. The tierra has been good but i fell on it and the casing is cracked. my highest priorities are:

salt water sealing and corrosion resistance,
smoothness of winding

I am not sure of the size at this stage. the tierra was a 2000 and was 245 grams and was fairly perfectly weighted, maybe even slightly too light. I was thinking that the new zaion and ci4 materials reduce the weight to the point that the 2500s weigh about the same as the old 2000 tierra, so why not step up the spool capacity a little bit.. what do you all think what can you recommend?

Already said it once today on another thread. Take your rod to your tackle store and buy what feels good for you. Other opinions should be taken as gospel until you have actually felt a couple of different reels on the rod.

I have the same rod and have a Caldia 2506 on it. As Brad said try a couple as on your rod.
