Vamp Phase II

vamp phase II

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey guys,

Looking to pick up a new rod... This has caught my eye.. I was keen on getting one of the older vamps, but now these have come along i may as well get the new one...

Still trying to figure out what size to go with???

I was all about fishing bream (focused on nothing else).. Lately though, ive been hunting some lizards.. So i want a rod that is a bit of an all rounder...

I was thinking about going with the 2-4kg (4-8 LB) matched with the stradic FJ 2500...

ALL OPINIONS WELCOME!!! anyone like the new vamp model??

Mate the 4-8lb 7ft Vamp phase II with a Shimano rarenium 2500 would be a sweet combo. It should handle whatever light stuff you intend to fish for and cope with the bigger flatties/small jew/ whatever else you've got in stall for it Don't own a samaki but have fished with a zing and I've gotta say that the build quality is very good. For about $500 you should be sorted with some nice braid (maybe give the new sunline momentum a try), a sweet modern rod and a smooth little spinning reel. The rarenium is definently the pick over the new stradic and it even comes with a spare spool as an added bonus. Happy Fishing

Why does everybody go for the rarenium? Is it just because they are so light???

Simply Yes

Try a rod with a normal 2500 sized reel the put one of the Ci4 reels on it and you will know what we are talking about. If you are casting all day that reduced weigh will mean heaps. And the rarenium has a "bling" factor to it as well.

I kind of leaned away from them cause they look a little "tacky" ( gonna get bagged for that!! )
Dad has got a Penn Accord and they have same colours. Don't get me wrong its a great reel and i will probably get one eventually, just thought that more people would lean more towards the new Stradic cause of X-Ship, Paladin gear and what not. Never thought weight was THAT important. just my 2c
