NICE Brown mate

I got a 46 cm Rainbow at the Harvey Dam just last weekend too

There has been some good Trout caught there lately

Even hard to catch a Redfin at the moment because of all the Trout ha ha

Whats the deal with fishing Harvey? You can only use your leccy hey? Whats the water level like at the moment? I noticed passing by Glen Mervyn dam(Collie) the other week that it was full to the Brim aganin. I wonder how the fishing is down there?

Cheers
Tim

i got fined 2 years back so havent returned...your not supposed to carry any fuel or oil on the water...i removed my tank...but needed my outboard for a rudder so left it on...i got fined because outboards have oil in the gearboxes and my mate got done because he had an underfloor fuel tank and the outboard.......none of my mates have ever been done though

Must be luck of the draw. I never takemy boat because of the underfloor tanks, but my mates take theres with the outboard on, and the fuel tanks out and have never had a problem.

yeah they can be a bit stricked at times at the dam.
there is some debate though about whether or not the fuel and oil are ok on board if they are fully contained.
Some say that it is still a risk because you could hit a sunken log and puncture the reservoir and drop all your fuel and oil.
it seems to be an individual interperatation of the rules.
If you are seen to be doing the right thing they normally let you go.

The dam has been fishing very well though at the moment.

I usually fish the dam for Redfin, but it is alot of fun bringing in the big trout on light gear right now.
