Hi Rocksy,
Thats a good price, good to so the locals getting a few deals around. With a good chunk of $$ going offshore.. Buying local works well for me as well, specially on the top end stuff..always helps. |

Do those 2 stores mentioned ship interstate by any chance?
Paid $490 for my Certate locally but would be keen to pick up a 2004 or 3000 if possible. Cheers |

Daiwa won't even service your reel without proof of purchase.
I was in the position of deciding where to buy from and contacted Daiwa asking about buying from overseas. They frown upon it and the fella told me strictly that they do not service reels bought from overseas let alone honour warranty claims. May or may not be a problem for some but with some of the new technology like in the Certates Mag Seal for example you'd definitely want someone qualified to be opening it up that's for sure. Well I would anyway. Joel |

While were on the subject of great prices, my local has a deal on Shimano Soares for $469.. $130 less than Mo's!

so why pay for a service...with the AUD only being so good for the last 6 months i would assume these were purchased within the last 6 months.. $70 for a service and "possibly" inital delivery fee, sounds fairly close..not getting into any debates mate, but this post was for people in melb looking for good local deals and as mentioned---very reasonable prices-- I know how to use google, if i wanted them from o/seas i would have asked"does anybody know where i can get CHEAP reels O/S" thanks for input. PS bought 2 Certates for $900.00 and got some free braid...very reasonable indeed. |
