DSLR for $500

Hey guys

Been given the chance to get a DSLR as a birthday present in a few months, was just curious as to whether you guys think what is the best DSLR style camera for fishing within a $500 price bracket?

You can use them as a price guide
digitalrev.com (grey importers)
my mates bought all his high end Canon stuffs from them with no dramas at all.
I prefer local buy but it's all up to you. You can also try to get local store to price match as closely as they can. Depends on the shop, some may not want to do it all.
Good luck
